Get to know me

My name is Marissa, and I’m your morbidly curious host. My co-host is a red Doberman puppy names Ghost, my Ghost Host.

I’ve been fascinated with amusement parks for as long as I can remember. I was only two years old when my dad started taking me to Disneyland, and somewhere along the way, that love for theme parks developed a bit of a dark side.

Because as much as I love the rides, the nostalgia, the smells, the music, and that feeling you get walking through the gates… I’m just as fascinated by what happens when things go wrong.

The accidents. The abandoned parks. The strange deaths. The hauntings. The forgotten history. And all of those stories hiding behind places that were built to make us happy.

In real life, I’m a mom, a business owner, and someone with extreme ADHD who somehow decided that my already chaotic life needed one more thing: a podcast.

And for years, I talked myself out of starting it.

I kept thinking, Who is actually going to listen to this? Does anyone else really want to hear about amusement park accidents and the dark history of theme parks as much as I do?

Well… considering how quickly Death Kissed Traveler has grown, apparently the answer is yes.

And I cannot tell you how much that means to me.

Every follow, every download, every comment, every person who sends me a story and says, “Marissa, you HAVE to look into this”—I see it.

So thank you for being here. Thank you for embracing the weird, dark little corner of the amusement park world that I love so much.

Because trust me…

I have so many stories left to tell.

Stay spooky, Travelers.
